About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience counseling teens 13-19. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from University of Missouri - Saint Louis. Post Graduate training includes passing exams to earn: Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
My former work experience includes being a school counselor in local public, Jewish, and Christian schools. I have counseled teens in home for a local non-profit assisting clients to reduce non-preferred behaviors and get back to living in healthier relationships again.
My past students have run the spectrum from students struggling with: school stress, anxiety, making friends, family communication challenges, various learning abilities, relationship issues, multicultural concerns, grief/loss of a loved one, anger management, self-esteem, self-harm, lack of impulse control, general education students, special education students, ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s, Emotional disturbances, substance use, and learning disabilities.
One of my passions is helping teens and young adults find their future career and discussing the training or education necessary to achieve their goals.
My mission is to help others find joy again, heal, and experience life at much higher and happier level. In counseling we can discuss life from a faith-based viewpoint (I am a practicing Christian) or a non-religious view, your choice. I look forward to meeting and helping you!

Walter has been very helpful and suggested several great copying tools for me to use in stressful situations but also generally in life to be a happier person. He was also always very responsive via teencounseling.com chat and was sending more ideas even after our weekly calls.

One session so far. Very helpful and respectful. I would definitely recommend Walter to others!
I was nervous at first, as I am sure most people are to begin the journey that is self-help and therapy, however after only a couple sessions I am not only seeing some very positive changes in my mentality, but find my Therapist a very good fit for myself and the goals I have laid out. Can't recommend this platform enough, and Wally is certainly well equipped, kind and straight forward with his approach to Therapy. Thanks a million Wally
Super nice guy and easy to talk to
Wally has been a stable source of support for my anxiety. He listens to my thoughts and concerns and is able to repeat them back to me in a clarifying way. He asks questions that allows me to expand in my feelings and challenge my thoughts. He is great at giving a different outlook and management styles.
