About Me

I will guide you in making and maintaining positive changes in your life. By bringing a positive, proactive solution-focused approach to therapy I help clients achieve greater self-esteem, build healthier relationships, and make the emotional, cognitive and behavioral changes you seek. This approach helps create tools to create a safe and stable environment in therapy and in your daily life. I can help you find the resources and tools to establish clear boundaries, explore new ways to cope with everyday challenges and emotions, and increase your strengths and abilities.challenges related to identity development, sexuality, gender, issues, I am here for you. The most important aspect for me is to make a connection with you and build a strong alliance in order to work together towards a more fulfilling future. I consider my approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a Humanistic flare. What this means is that I would like you to guide me to the areas that are most present for you currently and I follow your lead. The techniques I use are primarily Mindful-based CBT which is a focus on the here and now. In addition, meaning-making and exploration of your schemas and belief systems can be a primary area of importance. I believe in the common-factors approach to change, where the relationship and alliance between us will guide and facilitate change. I consider myself to be feminist and relational-cultural, putting us on equal ground as we work through your areas of concern.

Tunjua, in the short amount of time I’ve been seen by her, has truly helped me come to understand some deep things in my life that I have struggled with. She’s helped me begin to get healing in those areas.

Tunjua has been instrumental in my daughter having a place to share some very sensitive information and having new tools she is willing to use. We are happy she chose us. The video call is fantastic for this age group. Highly recommend for today's teens.

This woman is phenomenal. She inspired my heart and mind while helping me deal with my emotions and fear. I am thankful and honored. If you have the opportunity to work with her, take it serious, and be patient with yourself. She will do the same.
