About me

Hello! Let me express to you how courageous you are to want to seek support and I hope that I can help you to find what you want in life. Here is some information about me:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with over 14 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients from various backgrounds over the course of my career. I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, family issues, marital issues, OCD, ADHD, Autism, PTSD, and those who have experienced different types of abuse. I have worked with teens in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings.

My style of counseling is based in helping others to develop the skills, abilities, and knowledge to make positive changes in life. I provide a place where thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and openly to create an atmosphere of trust. I aim to assist teens to gain insight, strategies, and tools to be successful. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral with supportive techniques to help individuals build lasting change and meet identified goals.

Taking the step to seek counseling can be scary and intimidating. I can offer an atmosphere where your child and family will feel both validated and understood. If you want your child to be both supported and challenged, you will have selected the right counselor with me. Rest assured that I will be committed to do the work!

Tammy is very transparent and open with her methods and thought process. On top of that she comes across very willing to work and listen. Tammy is a great person to have in your corner couldn’t ask for better

Tammy is extremely helpful. She offers insight when needed, and is incredibly supportive of my needs and goals for personal growth. She is a wonderful listener, and is exactly what I needed when seeking support.

Tammy listened to me and went over the amount of time she said our sessions would be, as she said she cared about my issues and wanted to help me work through them. I feel listened to and cared for, and she has helped me so much.
