The teenage years can be challenging for teens as well as for their parents as the teen seeks independence as they prepare to become an adult. Teens are learning to make their own choices (sometimes not the choices the parents would make for them), choose an identity, find their peer group. And, this can lead to experimenting with new ideas, changes in mood, and, changes in interests and goals. Parents may feel at a loss with all these changes and challenges. But, staying the course, continuing to offer guidelines and support, maintaining open communication in a structured and supportive environment will assist the teen in reaching his/her full potential. Parents must also be aware of early warning signs and how to get the help/support they need to get their teen back on track.
I have worked significantly with children 1-21 and their families in homes/foster/adoptive homes, school, community, group homes, juvenile detention facilities for several years . I have also worked with children in school/home/community setting. I have helped these families navigate difficulties, gain increased positive communication, and, improved relationships. I hear both the teen and the parents and can bridge that gap with guidance and support while bringing in school/community to provide the teen and their parents with a more cohesive and fulfilling environment. I hold LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Work) licenses in the state of Florida.

Sunny is a Kindly, supportive counsellor who I feel helped my son and I through a challenging patch. I would recommend him. He will be helpful to speak with.
Sunny is my first therapist but better than I had always imagined therapy would be. I only wish I had done this sooner. I came to Sunny in a very vulnerable state. In a mere couple of weeks, he has been able to quickly identify my major concerns and offers practical tools that has had immediate positive effect on my mental well-being.
Sunny has been a real god send for me during these hectic and unstable times. With Sunny's advice and guidance I have been able to pull myself out of a deep anxiety and just generally navigate life far better than I have ever before. 10/10 Sunny is the man!
My counselor has been a tremendous blessing to my son and our family. He is patient, mature, well informed and very warm. I like his approach and appreciate his counseling and support. We were very anxious about the idea of getting a counselor for our aon but he has made it worthwhile. I strongly recommend him to anyone in need of a good counselor. We are veey pleased indeed. SUNNY offers Biblical advice and has a very understanding heart. He is a humble person who has helped my relationship with God grow and helped me find peace in troubling times. He is a great encourager and creates a space where I am free to be vulnerable.
