Stephanie Seaton

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, currently licensed in Illinois with 10 years of professional experience. I have worked with many adolescents and their families to address the many issues that youth face today such as depression, anxiety, stress, suicide, self-harm, trauma and more.
I believe that the most important aspect of counseling is the connection you establish with your counselor. Having a trusting relationship with your counselor provides a safe space to share your struggles, which allows for personal growth and growth in self-awareness. Given the importance of having a trusting relationship, my therapeutic approach is tailored to the youth or family I am working with, with roots in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and a Strength Based approach. No matter what approach best fits you, everyone I work with is treated in a respectful, open-minded and non-judgmental manner.
It takes courage and strength to seek out help, I hope you acknowledge that strength in yourself. I am looking forward to building a relationship with you that will allow you to achieve your goals.

Stephanie has been extremely helpful as a counselor. I appreciate the way she listens and gives sensable, unbiased advice. She is well read and researched in the topics I need to cover in my sessions. I am always able to get an appointment within a day or two and she responds to my emails in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a great counselor.
