About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Texas with over 25 years of working with adolescents from various cultural/socioeconomic backgrounds. I began my early adult career as a middle school teacher and quickly developed a passion for adolescents and their struggles. It did not take me long to realize that it was very difficult to teach grammar to a student that was struggling with emotional, social, and/or family issues. That young person needed help. It was then that I returned to graduate school in the evenings while teaching during the day so that I could pursue a career to help teenagers reach their highest potential through counseling. I have experience in working with families in their homes for extended periods of time to help bring about a peaceful productive resolution to the current issue. Later, I spent time working in a boot camp setting with troubled youth that had limited options. As I grew with experience, I opened a private practice where I specialized in adolescents and their families.

Adolescence is a time that is confusing and scary for both teens and parents. It is a time filled with choices and much larger consequences. Sometimes teens and/or parents need someone to help them navigate the land of all of those choices, consequences and the emotions that are attached to them. If you are ready to start a path towards positive change and healing, I will be there to help support you and teach you the tools to achieve that change.

I look forward to working with you.

Stace has been such a wonderful therapist. I feel like my concerns are truly heard and addressed very efficiently and quite precisely. I love that she also helps me with giving me exercises that I can do on my own.
