Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sheri Bettenhausen. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
She's great!
I love talking to Sheri! She has helped me so much
She is very helpful and communicates well.
She great
Very knowledgeable and understanding
Sheri is an amazing person! She is very caring and thoughtful, and she really helps you navigate through your self care journey.
Sheri, has honestly saved me. I was in a very dark place months ago and she helped me come out of it. Even now, when I have my moments she keeps reminding me that it will be ok. She guides me, she talks to me, she listens to me, she provides the proper tools to help me through those rough moments.
Sheri is a great therapist. She has helped me through an extremely rough time in my life, and I am grateful for that
I’ve only had a few sessions so far, but I’ve never felt so heard in my life! I love my sessions with Sheri! I’ve never wanted to heal myself more than I do right now! ❤️
Sheri is an amazing therapist and person. I would strongly recommend her to anyone needing help from a very caring individual.
Is very personable and checks in often.
She is, quite frankly, amazing, thoughtful and kind. Very good for helping people get to a better headspace of thinking of their problems, and how to resolve them. I cannot recommend her enough, she is just a lovely person
Sheri’s services are unmatched of any counseling services I’ve tried in my local area.
I'm really impressed with how much Sheri communicates with me. She does way more than I ever would have expected. I kinda feel like maybe she's even overworking for me, because she's doing so much for me. I've been able to pack a lot of therapy into just a couple weeks, because I have been able to communicate with her on almost a daily basis, using journals, e-mails, chats, and video appointments.
I'm really glad I paid for teen counseling. It's a really good value. My mom only gets 15 minutes of talk time with her psychiatrist, and he charges her one hundred dollars, and doesn't talk to her again for a whole month. So, I kind of assumed this would be similar - Get my 15 minutes, and be rushed out. It's not that way with teen counseling at all. I used to not understand why people who use psychiatry also need a talk therapist, but now it makes complete sense. I see now that the psychiatrist is only doing the medications, which for some people, may only be a band-aid. The talk therapist spends more time with you, so you can process your emotions and heal. And it's a lot more than just ranting, like I did with past talk therapists. Sheri talks with you, so you're not just complaining or venting. She gives you some feedback, so you don't feel like you're just talking to a wall.
I also want to thank teen counseling for the information that Sheri shared with me, like coping skills, from the beginning. My past therapists would use words like coping skills and self care, but I never really knew what they meant by those terms, and for some reason I didn't ask. I assumed coping skills are how you cope and self care is taking care of yourself, but there is more to it than that. She gives you an entire page of examples of coping skills you can use.
Also, I use Alpha Medical for my medications, and they recommended teen counseling, not knowing I had already signed up with you guys. Alpha Medical is very good for help with medication, so when they recommended you guys, I felt confident I was in the right place. I have two children with very severe special needs. They are teenagers but function at a 12 to 18 month level. It is extremely difficult to find babysitters for them. An online platform, like teen counseling, makes it so I can concentrate more on self care - taking care of my own mental health to be the healthiest and strongest I can mentally, so I can be the mom I need to be for my boys. I am very grateful for Sheri and teen counseling, and I plan to stick with this for as long as it's available.
Sheri was great and wish I could continue with her but having to cancel due to funances
I have had only one session so far and look forward to seeing Sheri again soon. Vet understanding and easy to talk with.
So far, she’s great! She really listens and pays attention. She’s understanding and goes out of her way to keep contact with you, throughout each week. That’s been a big thing for me! So- I think she’s wonderful!
Very helpful! I appreciate her tremendously!
