About me

My therapies aim to alleviate distress, improve relationships and communication skills, and to raise a client’s overall functioning. My therapeutic approach uses bibliotherapy (when appropriate) and cognitive-behavioral techniques. My approach is short-term and goal oriented. I specialize in helping children deal with generalized anxiety and learning how to self-regulate. Additionally, I focus on helping kids deal with teen relationships.

We're already seeing benefits and have recommended this to a friend with a teen daughter who is experiencing anxiety and stress. We're very happy that our son has this safe and professional outlet for his concerns and stresses.

I've improved more in the last year or so with Dr. McKinsey than I have with any other therapist in the past. She's been very helpful and I cannot thank her enough for her support.
