About me

Hi! My name is Shana Creyssels and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with over eleven years of experience.

I celebrate you in taking your first step, which is a huge strength. I believe that you are the expert of you. My goal is to create a safe space that is non-judgmental, inclusive and empowering where we can work collaboratively to achieve what success means to you. Seeking support during difficult times can be a challenge. Due to various reasons, we somehow feel like reaching out for help makes us inadequate and like we can’t solve things on our own. Or our family or cultural background has taught us that our lives are not meant to be shared. Life is an incredible journey that comes with experiences that shape who we are or serves as a driving point to where we want to go or who we want to become.

I have provided services to individuals, adolescents and children from diverse racial, ethnic, spiritual and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as members of the LGBTQ Community. Because each person’s goals and needs are different, I have become an eclectic therapist where I have used various therapeutic modalities along the way to meet my clients where they are at and to help them achieve their goals. Common treatment modalities include: Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Acceptance and Humanistic. I have also been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).
I have a vast amount of experience in crisis and trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, substance use/abuse and behavior concerns. I have gained knowledge and experience by working in a variety of therapeutic setting including Outpatient Mental Health Clinics and Agencies and non-public and public school settings in Northern California.

I feel extreme gratitude for the opportunity to have worked with individuals who continue to work towards personal growth and transformation while exhibiting resilience. I hope you will allow me to join you on your journey.
