I have worked with teenagers extensively in my career, up to even being the Clinical Director of a small adolescent inpatient addiction treatment center in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I have deep compassion for today's teens, as they struggle to manage the pressures of social media, bullying ,substance abuse, and exposure to a flood of information.
My name is Sammy (Sam) Glenn and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over eighteen years of experience. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Tennessee Technological University in 2004, and then completed graduate school in 2005 at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. I am fully-licensed in Tennessee, Florida, and California. I have previously supervised students working to complete student internships under my guidance, as well as individuals seeking state licensing.
My philosophy in helping clients is based in mutual respect and approaching each client with sensitivity and "unconditional positive regard" (Carl Rogers), and I have been known among my peers as a therapist always willing to tackle challenging circumstances. I have worked with a wide diversity of individuals, and continually build my knowledge by taking a rigorous approach to professional development and “best practice” training. Helping others truly is my mission in life.

Sammy is very easy to talk to! I clicked with him right away and always look forward to talking to him.
I think he has helped me tremendously
Sam has been great as a counselor! He understands my challenges, has given me ways to work through them and sends me reminders of self-care periodically. I feel less turmoil because I can count on my sessions with Sam.
Sammy is an excellent counselor, who provides thoughtful and supportive insight into the emotions of what has been a very trying time for myself and my fiancée. We're closer than before, and working steadily towards clearer lines of communication thanks in large part to his help in facilitating understanding between us.
Sammy is very patient and understanding. He is incredibly skilled and he is genuine with his clients as he encourages them to move forward and live happy lives! I highly recommend him!
I just love talking to him, I can talk to him about everything and anything and I just love my sessions with him. If you want to feel that someone understands you his the person to go to.
Sam is wonderful!! Very understanding and helpful. Understands the situation, problem right away.
Hes very attentive to our needs, and makes talking to him very easy.
He was great. Literally perfect.
Sammy is a great listener who gives you the freedom and space to come to your own conclusions. He's not a one-size-fits-all counselor. He truly listens and provides you with the necessary tools to help guide you to relief.
Thanks for all your help and support.
Sam has been very responsive on each of our sessions. His experience and guidance to assist me so far has helped me out tremendously. I'm more than privileged to have met such a great caring counselor with Sam
Sammy is patient and knowledgeable and makes me feel hopeful that counseling will give us the tools to improve our marriage.
Professional, warm, and attentive. Provides resources to support stress relief and self care.
Sammy has been very understanding of me and my husbands problems. Understands both sides and informs us of where we are both going astray. We have only been visiting him for a short time but it has already helped us communicate better. We are looking forward to our next visit!!!
Sam has been extremely helpful in keeping our sessions focused and organized. Our sessions aren't just trying to talk out problems, although there definitely is depth in our conversations. Our sessions have been focused on what action should we take next, what behavior do we need to work on, why are we feeling a certain way, etc. You feel the progress because there's a push, not an obtrusive one but one that is definitely needed if change is the goal.
