About Me

I am a fully licensed Master-level social worker with over 10 years of experience working with children and families in the human services and school settings. I have a degree in Social Work with a focus on family systems, sociology and human sexuality. Throughout my career I have worked with people of various backgrounds and with a variety of needs.

My approach in working with individuals is a nurturing, kind, yet open and direct style. I believe that techniques that work for one person will not work for every person and that we grow by making mistakes and owning them. I will respect you and your beliefs, while challenging some of your thought processes to produce a positive outcome. I view all people from not only an individual perspective but how we are impacted by the systems in which we are a part of, such as our families, upbringings, and relationships. I have experience working with teens on various mental health needs to include, but not limited to: self esteem, peer relationships, gender identity, working through familial issues and being successful in the school and life setting.

Seeking and participating in therapy is a brave step for your overall mental, emotional and physical well being. Therapy is not a sign of weakness, rather, it's a sign of strength that you have the ability to see that there is a need and you are helping yourself.

I cannot wait to meet you and help you on your journey in this beautiful life!

My teenage daughter trusts Rory and enjoys talking to her. She looks forward to her talks with Rory each week, and I think that says a lot about a therapist.
