About me
The teen years are hard for both teen and parents alike. I have 15 years experiencing working with teenagers and their parents. I have helped teens and parents learn to better understand and manage their symptoms, improve communicate skills, as well as supporting teens as they gain independence and make that scary transition to adulthood.
I have worked with many common adolescent mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, bi-polar disorder, and DMDD. I have also enjoyed working with siblings of clients with persistent mental illness. This can be challenging for the non-identified child and having their own counselor can be beneficial.
I am licensed in New York State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have worked with teenagers in numerous non-traditional living arrangements such as foster care, adoptive homes, and living with relatives. Today's teens are facing more stress then ever, a trend that the pandemic has only made worse. I am able to address not only persistent mental illness but also more normative teen angst. I am able to work with teens to normalize their experiences and reduce concern about stigmas and labels.
I believe in a client-centered approach and am comfortable working with teens and their parents to allow for healthy communication for all family members. I look forward to getting to know your teen better and hopefully help them find some relief from their stress and symptoms to life happy and fulfilled lives.

Rebecca has been a Godsend to our daughter. She is caring, understanding and has given her the tools to cope with daily teen struggles. My daughter loves working with her and looks forward to every session.

I’ve worked with Rebecca twice in the last year. She helped me through a really rough family time last year. She’s incredibly caring & knowledgeable. I needed help again this year & was really happy to be paired with her once more! I’m so grateful for her talents as a therapist, it’s meant the world.
Rebecca has been very responsive to our needs! She is caring and can get to the heart of the matter. I respect and appreciate how she communicates and follows up. Highly recommend :)
