Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Rachel Rigg, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker through the state of Ohio. I have been practicing since 2008. My specialty includes working with children, teenagers, and their families. I have worked with youth who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues. I have provided this through Individual, Group, and Family Counseling.
I understand as a teenager you can face many struggles, pressures, or challenges which can be overwhelming for any individual. Seeking counseling and help from a counselor can be a scary and anxiety provoking process. My job is to provide you with a nurturing, creative, and safe place for you to normalize your experiences and challenges you face. I believe teenagers have a powerful voice and I always want to provide empowerment and be the sounding board throughout your journey. I incorporate solution-focused, and narrative writing to help a teen maintain or find their voice again.
I am always flexible and creative in my approach with teenagers as I understand technology is a huge part of your life. I also there are different demands and things which occur in a teens life and I want to be as flexible as I can to help you. I appreciate you taking the time to view my profile and look forward to meeting you.

Thoughtful and compassionate. Very helpful
Rachel is very easy to talk to and extremely supportive and has helped me to understand things that, while I sort of already knew some of them, I didn't trust my own judgement on it and it's been very reassuring to hear her validate them.
