Phyllis Babrove

(MSW, LCSW)

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I have worked with adolescents in a diversion program, as a school social worker, and with family therapy. I helped students achieve academic success so that they were able to set goals for their future. I have also worked with children with emotional and behavioral problems, and substance abuse issues. Helping teens develop their communication skills, achieving academic success, and making the right choices are areas that are very important to me.
I am compassionate, empathetic, and I care deeply about people being happy. I am nonjudgmental and adolescents find me easy to talk to.
One of my approaches is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I incorporate other approaches as necessary.
I hope I have the opportunity to work with your child.

I’ve really learned from my sessions with Phyllis. I have noticed a change in my outlook and have learned how to better manage my stress and anxiety, which we established as goals together during my first session.

She listens and points me in the direction to go or a direction to try. I appreciate that she reads my journal entries and responds to some of them. A tough time in my life is more of a speed bump than a ditch because of her good counsel.
