About me
I retired from the District of Columbia Public schools as a School Psychologist in 2019. Over a period of 40 years I worked with elementary, middle school, and high school students. Many of the students had academic, motivational and stress difficulties. Many of them had problems with depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship, and anxiety issues. Many students just needed a counseling professional, who could hear their needs and provide strategies for improved educational and life success.
I have a Postdoctoral M.S. in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Ph.D. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Howard University, and undergraduate B.A. degree in psychology from Clark Atlanta University. My APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Internship was from Children's Hospital National Medical Center.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Oscar Harp III. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Very knowledgeable and explains issues in words you can understand.
Dr. Harp III is an extremely professional and invaluable addition to the counselors on the website. He is easy to talk to and is able to connect with his patients in a friendly and uplifting manner.
I am thankful to have been connected with Dr.Harp. In my first three sessions I opened up to Dr. Harp. I am convinced now that he had a strong sense of what he could teach me that would enable me to help myself.
I am going to continue my sessions with Dr. Harp. He has explained changes I need to make to achieve my goal of better health, not just mentally but physically as well!
For me it is going to take some time and with Dr.Harp’s help, my future looks bright.
