About me

Adolescence is a challenge and difficult time in one's life. Having had to overcome personal obstacles in adolescence using techniques and insight learned from training and experience, my approach to adolescent depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem stems from an empathetic rapport-building bridge that individualizes each teenager's perception of what is going on, and provides a guiding insight into what is possible and accessible inside the darkness and confusion.

I have worked in many treatment centers and programs within an adolescent and young adult track, and even personally developed an entire program and curriculum for adolescents, aged 13 to 18, at a mental health treatment center in California as the Chief Program Director.

Adolescents are often hesitant to share their experience and feelings because they fear if they do, things can get worse. I offer a platform of connection, trust, empathy, and hope that allows them to engage in their own process of wellness and healing, while learning how to connect, or re- connect, with you, their parents or caregivers.
My experience, practice, and training have shown me that our ways of thinking and feeling as young adults are due to very early years of self-authored truths and internalized half-truths. Our perceptions, interpretations, and beliefs about who we are and what everything means keep us trapped. Together, we will chip away at how to re-author the self in a non-judgmental setting.

We work at a pace that is tailored to them and their goals, to discover their best self, and what one can become going forward.

She's very easy to talk to and I always look forward to my sessions with her. She wants the best for me and works with me to help me better understand some of my thought patterns. She's also great with incorporating coping skills to my sessions. I highly recommend working with Olimpia.

I had a hard time outside of teen counseling finding a therapist that fits me and my needs but then I found Olimpia. She is a great listener and pays a lot of attention to detail. I love that she is not afraid to give advice no matter how hard it is to hear and because of that I have significantly improved with my problems in my daily life.
