Nicole Kindt

(LCPC, (Montana), LPC, (Colorado))

About Me

I am a licensed counselor in both Montana and Colorado. I graduated from Montana State University in 2008 with a masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. I have been providing therapy services for over 10 years and have experience in multiple settings, primarily with children and adolescents between the ages of 5-18. I have a great deal of experience in family therapy, as well as providing parents support and coaching through difficult situations. The diagnoses I have worked with primarily include, but are not limited to, PTSD, depression, anxiety, intermittent explosive disorder, and reactive attachment disorder. I also have a great deal of experience in helping those going through transitions including, but not limited to, grief and loss, divorce, changes schools, and blended families. I also have a background in working with survivors of abuse and other traumatic events.

My counseling style is very open, meeting people where they are at. Therapy can be very difficult and people entering therapy may feel very vulnerable. Thus, I like to try to help my clients feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Compassion and sensitivity are key to my counseling style and I strive to ensure that my clients feel accepted throughout the counseling process. My counseling approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, person-centered, and reality-based therapy. I often adjust my counseling style to fit each individual, their therapy goals, and current needs. When working with youth and young adults, I like to include family in the process, as they are the most consistent support system in the client's life.

If your child is in need of addition support, whether it be due to a transition, family related issues, or peer concerns, I would love to help. Childhood and adolescence can be a very challenging and difficult time to navigate through and having someone to reach out to can make it seem less daunting.

Nicole has been so helpful through her compassionate listening, expertise and coping techniques. She helped me out of a very rough patch and continues to support me in my process. She is very kind and attentionate, and made me believe/understand that things will indeed get better. I owe a lot to her, and would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone seeking a bit of light in their darker days. I am very grateful for her.

Nicole is incredibly understanding and kind. We've only worked together for a little while now, but she's been supporting and empathic from the very first second. She encourages and reassures me, which has been a great help.

I have nothing but praise for Nicole, her methods and grasp of what I need. Nicole has been extremely flexible in the delivery, being very forgiving when i get the time differences a little mixed up. It takes a very talented and knowledgable person to have such a huge impact across the world. Advice I have used with immediate effect, stopping a negative pathway in their tracks. I feel like I can unpack and sort out some pretty heavy issues, knowing Nicole will treat them and myself with respect and care.
