About me
Hi. Looking for therapy can be challenging and I'd like to make your experience as simple as possible. I'm a licensed independent social worker in the state of SC with a BS in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work. I've also been a massage therapist for a few years as well as a wife, mother, friend, and even a soldier. I've lived in several states and even a couple of countries. I've seen a bit in my life time and would like to use that experience along with my professional training to help you and your child with whatever it is that has brought you to this site. I've had the privilege of working with families and their children in school, in the clinic, and in the juvenile justice system. We've worked together on attention and impulsivity problems, anger, communication, sleep concerns, trauma, depression, stress, anxiety, and more.
I know that not all families and people are the same and I'd like to help you manage your concerns in the way that best suits you. I'm warm, sometimes amusing, serious, concerned, and goal oriented. It's important that therapy comes from a non judgmental place and empowers the client to be in charge. I use Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and bit of psychoanalysis because there is so much that goes in to making a person who they are.
Looking for a therapist is a little like finding a hair stylist. If the first one doesn't work out, you don't swear off ever going back to get a hair cut. Try me out and we will see if it's a good fit for you. I look forward to being a part of the solution for whatever it is that you find troubling right now.

Really enjoy my weekly appointments with my therapist! I look forward to them!
In the short time I have been working with Nancy I noticed genuinely solid qualities that I have not experienced previously with counseling. She is extremely intuitive and I like the personable approach she is taking with helping me heal. I look forward to more sessions and the positive changes that await me.
She has gotten to know me well in a short period of time and is helping me navigate my complicated life. She is honest with me and calls me on my stuff and gives me perspective on certain issues.
Nancy knows her stuff. She is refreshingly straightforward without ever being flippant or belittling. She is the outside perspective on my life I desperately needed. If something isn’t working, she’s got a variety of different approaches and strategies she can draw upon. While I am fairly new to therapy on the whole, Nancy has made it a very comfortable and yet energizing experience. Strongly recommend!
Nancy understands me! I feel respected and cared for during every session.
Nancy has a no nonsense. practical approach and offers great advice.
Nancy's great!
Nancy helps me reframe my thinking during this time of pandemic so that I can have better coping mechanisms.
Nancy is very attentive and compassionate
Nancy listens, and it's a breath of fresh air. She writes notes and pays attention as if she were face to face, asking the harder more thought-provoking questions to help you move forward or at the very least, learn to accept what you have no control over. You can tell that she genuinely cares, and I look forward to working through life with her :)
Nancy Drose is a professional counselor that offers me different perspectives and helps me understand my own feelings. I would recommend her to anyone. I appreciate her contacting me throughout the week. I have made so much progress mentally with her help!
Thank you!
She get right to the point and try to solve the issues
I’ve been talking to Nancy for a couple weeks now and it has been really refreshing. She’s warm and responsive. I appreciate that she asks questions. Makes me feel like she’s paying attention and cares about what I’m sharing. I wasn’t sure how teencounseling.com would go, but I’m so grateful for Nancy and our casual connection through out the week. It reassuring and gives me a boost in my days. I also appreciate that she’s accepting of my preference to talk in typing format over voice. It allows me to re-read our conversation as needed.
Nancy was easy to talk to, responsive and a good listener. She helped me break down to the root cause of my internal conflict and gave me concrete action steps to move forward in a positive way.
