About me

Hello there and welcome to my profile! I'm Molly Irwin and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Massachusetts. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a Master's degree (MSW) in clinical Social Work with a concentration on children, youth and families from Boston College. I was first licensed in 2014 and have worked with youth and adolescents my entire professional career, in various settings. Currently, I work with youth and families in a non-profit setting, while also operating a private practice. In the past I have run psycho-educational groups for teens, worked in school and community-based settings, and provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents in a residential setting. I am excited to be a part of Better Help, where we can reach more individuals that need our help, especially teens who may not be able to/prefer not to access therapy in a traditional setting.

My counseling style is meant to support and empower my clients to make change in their own lives. My approach is client-centered, utilizing various interventions taken from a range of therapeutic approaches. It is my experience that the best results occur when the client and I work collaboratively to both create and work towards identified goals. I strive to create a safe space, free from judgment, where we can build trust and mutual respect. Therapy can be overwhelming at times, and we will always move at the pace that feels right for you and your teen. The goal of therapy is not only to help your teen to address their current issues, but also to teach them tools to utilize when they are struggling. Above all else, I am a relationship-based and strengths-based clinician, meaning the relationship I create with your teen will be the foundation of our work together. Once we get to know each other my job is to help them discover and strengthen their own strengths - those on the surface as well as those that may be buried deep inside - in order to take on whatever challenges they may come across in their daily lives.

Thank you for looking at my profile, and I hope that my approach is a good match for your teen's therapeutic needs. I look forward to meeting them and guiding them through their own process of growth and creating positive change in their life.

My experience with Molly has been fantastic. I find that she really listens to me but also hears what I'm saying without saying it. It's been a really productive couple of months so far and I've been happy with the progress I've made working with her.

Molly has been great. I may have stopped if it wasn’t for her reaching out

Molly has been such a help in just a short time, my son was dealing with some really difficult life changes and she jumped right in and formed a relationship that they are continuing to build on. I am more than pleased with her compassion, honesty, and genuine concern for my sons well being. Thank you Molly

I have recently started working with Molly and I am so glad to have been paired up with her. Molly is very friendly and I felt comfortable talking with her straight away. She always listens to me and never invalidates my feelings. I would highly recommend others to work with Molly.

Work with me!
