About me

My name is Michelle, and I am a dedicated clinician committed to meeting the needs of youth in the Boise Metropolitan area and around Idaho. I am passionate about providing evidence-based treatment for teens. As a mother of four, I understand many children’s/adolescents’ difficulties and milestones.

I received my first Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature from the University of Oregon. I have experienced many career changes, including 4 years of service in the Navy as a Machinist Mate (part of naval engineering). I made it to the rank of Petty Officer 3rd class. I received my second Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Idaho. I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling.

I specialize in the evidence-based modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). However, I integrate various therapeutic modalities when applicable. I have mainly worked with teens and young adults with difficulties ranging from depression, anxiety, body image issues, life transitions, and suicidality. I am also an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Wonderful therapist. She is great with teenagers and has such a calm demeanor and is very professional. I love her responsiveness as a parent and willingness to listen and help.
