About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist and in case management. I have worked with teens dealing with low self esteem, anger management, poor peer relationships, poor communication skills, academic concerns, separation issues, mood swings, and gender identity issues. Once that foundation is laid, one of several therapeutic modalities can be utilized, depending on the issue at hand. These modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. An Integrated approach can be utilized as well.
Helping teens express their feelings, validating them, or challenging some of that negative thinking, is really an amazing experience.
I received my Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology from Okaloosa Walton Community College. I then received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Florida A&M University and received my Master's Degree from Florida State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings with various age groups. I have managed a halfway house for women with dual diagnosis, in addition to managing a specialized program for both teenage girls and boys, which included providing individual and group counseling. I have worked in the state hospital in Georgia and worked with community based care.
I am known for being a good listener, caring, sensitive, and open minded. My style is warm and interactive. Not only do I have the necessary credentials, experience, and hours to be licensed, but I also have a lifetime of experience and wisdom to draw from, which is invaluable! I believe everyone should be treated with respect and dignity. I will tailor our therapy and treatment plan to meet your needs. I am here to support and empower you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mentoria Hutchinson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Mentoria is amazing! She’s super nice, she gets to the problem of things, and helps to find solutions. With all of my medical issues, I have struggled a lot with dealing with depression and pain every day of my life. Mentoria has listened to me and has helped me to better understand my feelings and thoughts. I would definitely recommend her! She’s a 10/10! I have dealt and seen many people throughout the medical field. I have been talked down to, have been made to feel like my medical problems are not important and Mentoria has been a blessing. She makes me feel like I’m important and that I’m not just another patient. If you need a therapist, I definitely would recommend her, you won’t regret it!
I feel understood and safe talking Mentoria. I don’t feel judged
