About me

Hello there! My name is Meghan Todd, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with experience treating children, teens, individuals, and families. I use a strengths-based, warm but direct approach. I pull from different models depending on each client's individual needs. I especially focus on motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, drama therapy, and strategic family therapy. With special training in drama therapy, I bring a uniquely creative lens to all of my work, whether or not you wish to engage with drama therapy in particular. Through it all, I believe in being client-centered and meeting the client where they currently are on their journey.

I have familiarity with many areas, including depression, stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, and life changes. In the past, I have focused on treating parenting issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, and motivation and self-esteem. I have lots of experience working in school districts, and have build social-emotional learning curriculums, participated in the IEP process, and supported children both in the school environment and at home. Please ask me if I can help with whatever you are currently needing!

At times of great stress, whatever that may be, children respond in a variety of ways, just like all of us. Some may withdraw, display anger, exhibit problem behaviors, or just not seem like themselves. I hope to build a safe place where you teen can explore their concerns about life and/or heal from past issues including (but not limited to) traumatic events, bullying, and emotional pain. I plan to build a strong bond with your teen so that they can share whatever is on their mind. I want to help build their already existing resiliency so that they can cope with what they are currently facing and be prepared for whatever life has in store for them.

Meghan is a very attentive therapist. She keeps me accountable while at the same time has created a space where I feel validated.
I feel like very thankful for finding her

You are an amazing person! You were a born listener , even though it was just 45 mins, you gave me so much validation that I hadn’t received from supposedly close family and friends. Thank you so much. God Bless you

Meghan is a really wonderful professional who is helping me learn how to thrive instead of just survive.
