Welcome! My name is Megan Daniel and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Dallas, Texas. I received my counseling degree in 2015 and have worked as a school counselor for the past six years. Prior to that, I worked as a junior high teacher. I also manage an after-hours counseling center for a Texas area school district working with elementary through high-school age students. I have experience working with a wide array of clients from different cultural backgrounds and ages. Throughout my professional career, I worked with children and families in the areas of trauma, parenting issues, confidence and self-esteem struggles, anxiety, and grief and loss.
My style of therapy is person-centered and goal oriented. I enjoy getting to know you as a person (and the expert on your own life), and then working together to identify goals and solutions that make sense for you. It is important that you feel safe and valued throughout our professional relationship. While we will work with the treatment modality that fits best, I generally lean towards Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness techniques, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Together, we will clarify goals and next steps when dealing with life transitions or challenges, work to develop healthy coping skills and thinking patterns to help with challenging times, and develop a positive sense of self.
Seeking therapy takes courage, and I am here to support and empower you throughout this journey, whether you are seeking a happier life, or simply need an ear to listen. I look forward to working with you to create positive change in your how you feel about and view yourself and your life.

Megan is great! She is really quick with communication and has been great for us. I really don't know where we would be without her help.
Megan is a great counselor. She asks insightful questions. She encourages me to be true to myself and to be my very best self.
Megan is a pretty sweet therapist. First therapist I feel safe with. She developed a strong understanding of me in a pretty quick timeframe and I thank her for that.
I'm extremely thankful that I looked into teen counseling, because without it I wouldn't have found Megan. She's the counselor that I needed, able to guide me through my issues with affirmation and asking important questions. I can rely on her to answer my messages promptly, and I always feel listened to regardless of whether we are messaging or video chatting. She has helped me direct my desire for change into actionable steps and opened the door for important introspection. I highly recommend her!
Megan has been very kind and has responded to my questions very thoroughly.
