About Me

Hi there! My name is Masood Moghaddam, and I am a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in California, experienced psychotherapist and a life coach. Thank you for taking the time to learn how my counseling and therapy services can be a useful tool for yourself or someone you care about. I have been working with teens struggling with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, eating /body image issues and Bipolar Disorder. I also work with students of all ages (and parents) to address issues with executive functioning issues (e.g., time management, procrastination, prioritizing work, regulating emotions, etc.), which can be especially challenging right now with Online and Distance Learning.

My counseling style is warm, interactive and collaborative. I tailor our sessions and treatment plan based on your individual needs while utilizing an eclectic style incorporating psychodynamic and evidence-based modalities including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and mindfulness-based interventions. I believe relationships are the origin of our greatest growth yet can also be the source of our considerable challenges. My goal in our work together is to help you as an Individual, Couple, or Family to better understand these multifaceted relationships. Often these complicated relationships come intertwined with personal issues stemming from our past. As your therapist, I will provide empathy, compassion, guidance and if needed an alternative point of view to help you and/or your family work through your challenges. It takes desire to grow, willingness to make an initial effort, courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first step toward a change. He is a very genuine person. He isn't faking his care or want to be there for you. This man has changed my whole opinion about therapy.

I really really appreciate Masood. He listens to my concerns and allows me to be comfortable to open up about issues. I look forward to our sessions every week. I am still getting to know Masood. But I have not had great experiences with past therapists and was quite nervous upon meeting with Masood. He calmed my nerves immediately and I felt quite comfortable in out discussions. I was even able to open up about something I didn’t think I’d be able too. He interacts in a way other Therapists may not and you can immediately tell that he is empathetic and genuine. He helps you work through things and provides an outlook from a completely different view which is something I really need at times. I look forward to continuing to work with Masood.
