About me

Hello There! My name is Katie...

Thank you for taking to time to take a look at my profile. First of all congrats to you for reaching out for some guidance. It may sound cliche', but asking for help can truly be one of the most difficult parts of the healing process.

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I've been providing counseling, training, teaching, and coaching in the Western New York region for over 20 years. Though I have worked with children, families, and individuals in a variety of different settings, my approach is always the same. No judgment, a complete empathic approach, and genuine regard for who it is I am working with. I have been privileged to work with young folks from all walks of life struggling with challenges ranging from trauma, grief, life transitions, as well as managing mental health diagnoses. I worked with children and teens exclusively for the first half of my career, which then transitioned into a variety of evidence-based family therapies as well.

I consider it to be an honor to stand by one's side and help them untangle their thoughts and emotions as they continue on life's journey.

I hope to share that journey with you and your family...

Katie has a calm, down to earth presence that made my daughter feel comfortable and open. She was easy to work with. Although we only did a few sessions, I did find her advice and feedback helpful and reassuring. I would definitely recommend her as a therapist.

Dr Miller is awesome. She is frank yet sensitive at the same time. She's been very supportive and helpful in bringing things into perspective and gives me very constructive feedback. Thank you, Dr. Miller!
