Thank you for reviewing over my profile. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. While I was going to school, I found a passion and a love for victims of natural disasters after Hurricane Katrina forced many people to migrate to Shreveport. Afterward, I obtained my master's degree from Louisiana Tech University and became licensed professional counselor (LPC). I am currently coauthoring a book that takes the more wholistic approach to the brain. With this, I’m working on a coaching certification.
I have years of experience with people ages 4 and up, as well as families and couples. Teenage years can be really hard! You are figuring out who you are and who you want to be, but there are also a lot of expectations put on to you.
My passion is creating a trusting environment for you to explore your difficulties as well as to help you find new skills in dealing with them. I would love to speak with you more if you feel that we may be a good fit!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Martha Kuhn. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Martha listens hard and responds gently. I always feel her care in her conversation. She is highly educated and knowledgeable on topics I am needing assistance with. Her guidance has rapidly helped me accept and reframe some tough topics.
First session was great , My daughter feels comfortable with Martha .
It always feels like Martha has listened and is able to encourage, uplift and advise me. She sends me lots of resources which is also very helpful.
I’ve been to therapy for a while and I’ve been given new techniques through Martha that has helped me a lot.
Martha was the most wonderful Therapist I've ever had. She has taught me how to think and how to change my self talk. I will never forget her.
Martha is a really good match for me. Since I have a night shift schedule it's really good to be able to watch videos that she sends me and materials to look over that she is wanting me to practice that will help me with what I am going through.
I really have enjoyed our talks, she understand how to help me and what I need to work on
Someone who has understood me better than all my family, friends, and professional help. Her activities and suggestions on how to deal with all my issues were extremely accurate. She really helped calm down my anxiety and helped me look at life in a much more beautiful way.
Martha is a very knowledgeable individual. She's authentic and very easy to talk to. She consistently provides a variety of tools and solutions which aid in the process. She's a great therapist to have!
She’s understanding and sweet. I like her support
Great therapist. She really cares, listens, and makes an effort to understand her patients. Offers both a sympathetic shoulder to cry on and tips and tools to better oneself.
I Love And Appreciate My Theorist So Much,! She’s An ANGEL in MY LIFE!!!
Martha is a great therapist that helped me understand things about myself and my situation. Very happy I was matched with her and I highly recommend!
Sincerely listens and helps you create plans with worthy goals.
Martha is a wonderful counsellor with a very warm energy about her. I am not personally someone who opens up to others easily, but even online, she managed to create a very comforting environment and you know that it is a safe space for you to share your innermost fears and insecurities. She adjusts her style according to what works for you, and what makes you comfortable, and so in a way, it feels like a very customized experience.
In a nutshell, she's compassionate, supportive and rational. I've had a truly wonderful experience working with her. 100% recommend.
Just letting you know that I do not have a problem with Martha. My problem is with how you guys run your business: hard to get in touch, hard to get a response, feeling sometimes that you are A little too involved in our work. For instance, letting me know immediately that she has sent me a message which I understand you feel responsible to do and I guess that’s OK.
I appreciate our sessions together
Martha Kuhn is a wonderful, knowledgeable counselor. She is very human, supportive and really applies wisdom that works. I'm grateful for her time and expertise.
Martha is very kind and easy to talk with. Her style is very conducive to allow me to pour out my thoughts and experiences. I feel as if there may have been divine intervention in pairing us together.
She is great and a really good match.
She is very good..
Ive only had a few sessions and I tend to disassociate so it can take me a while to know exactly how I feel about anything going on in my life. I liked her! She has a kindness I can feel. That’s something I’ve not had very much of in my life so far . Kindness is rare in my world maybe even in the whole world. She’s given me a glimpse of hope. I’m very thankful for that.
Martha is a great therapist. She listens and is very understanding.
