I have been working at helping people since 1988. I received a Masters in counseling in 1995 and got the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor certificate in Illinois in 2002. I'd like to begin by saying I feel very fortunate to be able to walk with people on their path to healing. I will try to engender trust with you by being genuine and respectful. I've had some success at helping people overcome trauma, depression, and anxiety. Mostly I start by helping people change their choices a little at a time. The hope is that these changes will lead to changes in thoughts; and eventually changes in feelings. Along the way, we often work through resolving issues of motivation and confidence. To accomplish all of this we will likely use a number of proven tools such as mindfulness practice and thought regulation. My goal is to help you make changes as we go along working with you to guide the process and help you develop and accomplish your goals.

I have not met such an amazing human who is empathetic, respectful and sincerely willing and able to understand my situation. He is open and non judgmental. He cares. The tools he provided helped me overcome issues and it gives me insight to see the good in every situation.
You are a light, Mark and I thank you and appreciate you.
Mark has been a tremendous support for my family, especially my son during this challenging time. I strongly recommend Mark and his expertise.
Mark has a gift in meeting teens where they are and working with them in a way that allows them to feel heard and respected. He has been able to quickly build a connection with my son and create a collaboration that will be really valuable to his growth. Grateful for his help.
Hes the best !
This guy rocks !! He listens to everything and is so down to earth . Doesn’t feel like I’m talking to a therapist but a friend that just allows me to vent
Working with Mark has been a lovely experience of seeing myself through someone else’s eyes who actually gets me.
He has lovingly guided me through a deeper understanding of myself and my loved ones and given me the perspective to see the dynamics of those relationships with a new lens.
Mark made me feel comfortable, supported, and seen. His years of expertise shine through as wisdom and helpful advice.
Mark has been great for me and helping me through first trying to help with issues in my relationship and he’s helped even more since the relationship has ended. I was skeptical about therapy at first because I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. He’s made me feel comfortable and knows how to keep my spirits high. Even through my darkest times, he helps me get through it!
