About Me

Those difficult teen years, sometimes we wonder how we got through them ourselves! In this day and age of social media, there are many challenges that are so overwhelming. Parental training from years ago is not even relevant today. And speaking of training...there are not many classes even offered on this topic at all. A respected expert and author on this subject, Michael J. Bradley, states that successful parenting an adolescent in today's world "requires levels of skill, endurance, wisdom, and strength that make piloting an aircraft pale in comparison"! It's complicated. I have had the 'pleasure' of working with this population for many years, and have Certifications in Play Therapy working with teens. I have to admit, at first I was a bit terrified, but in the end, enjoyed the progress, and positive changes. I have learned that it is very helpful to have a neutral individual work with teenagers. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in southern California, and have almost twelve years of experience working with various populations. I look forward to helping your teenager.

Both my daughter and I felt comfortable talking with Ms. Fagan right away. She's professional, kind, approachable and responds to our messages promptly. I was skeptical about doing an online therapy before but I'm very happy that we decided to do this. We are still working through our problems but it's good to know we have someone as knowledgeable and compassionate as Ms. Fagan to guide us through crisis.

Marjorie is understanding, available and engaging. She lets you speak your truth and holds your words well and allows the conversation to flow. She is always engaging and dynamic and offering insight and knowledge as you work through your emotions and your struggles. She lets you talk as much as you need and when you've run out of room, she's there to coach you through it.

My time with Marjorie is still new but she’s the first one who I feel is listening and not pushing a worksheet on me for every little thing I say. I feel that she’s genuinely interested in me and I enjoy talking with her.

Marjorie didn't waste any time in getting to know what my primary focuses were and developing a plan around helping me. She is very good at getting to the heart of what my issues are even if I dance around them!

I'm only three sessions in, but I'm loving my counselor, Marjorie. This is the best experience I've had with counseling so far and it is so convenient to do it from home or even work. We sometimes video and sometimes have phone calls, depending on my schedule/whereabouts. She's giving me practical advice and sharing books and worksheets that will help me reach my goals.

Marjorie is amazing. She is so engaged, personable, and kind. She has given me a plethora of advice so far. We've just started our counseling in the last month, so we're still trying to figure out our priority list of what and how to tackle-- and there's a lot. I highly recommend her!

Marjorie Fagan is an exemplary therapist. I have found wells of inner strength that help pull me forward in the darkest of times thanks to her continued encouragement and support. She respond quickly to texts and talking to her on the phone is an absolute delight. She is hands down one of the best therapists I have encountered in my last five years of therapy. I recommend her without reservation.
