Maggie Quirk

About Me

Hi my name is Maggie Quirk! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Ulster County, New York. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from The State University of New York at New Paltz. I then went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with children and adolescents from age 2-22.

I recognize that there are many life stressors during one’s adolescent and young adult years. Managing peer relationships, family conflicts, school stressors, life transitions, romantic connections, self-esteem, and many other issues all at once can be difficult. I have a passion for helping these individuals work through difficult transitions and emotions. Together we set and reach goals to help you feel more confident in yourself and in your relationships.

I use an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to process and find solutions. I recognize the uniqueness of each client’s situation and tailor sessions to best fit their needs.

I am aware of the difficulties in being vulnerable. I use validation, humor, and compassion to help build trust. We can work together to find and build upon your own strengths in order to succeed and reach your goals.
