About Me

It is really hard to see your kids stressed out , anxious and depressed. I know, I have been there. I have been that parent. I have a passion for helping teens learn new skills to help them understand anxiety, develop new coping skills and address the faulty thinking that often accompanies an anxious mind.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that is licensed to practice in both Indiana and Tennessee. With over 10 years of experience in the counseling field , I bring a genuine and compassionate approach to therapy and believe change is encouraged in a nonjudgmental, relational and hopeful environment. I have successfully worked with families addressing child-parent relationships, coparenting and building stronger attachments in the family system. My experience also includes addressing anxiety, depression and grief/loss. I am trained in EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing) , CBT ( Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), (DBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy and several attachment based interventions. I have experience with working with trauma and believe that EMDR is very effective in addressing trauma ( all types of trauma) as well and anxiety and depression.
I graduated from Indiana University in 2011 and have worked with teens in various settings including private practice, community mental health and in the school environment.

My counseling style is warm, respectful and understanding. I believe that your story matters! I want you to finish therapy feeling empowered and resilient. I tailor treatment goals to address your desires and will take a strengths-based approach to treatment. Therapy is worth the investment and I hope we can work together.

I am here when you are ready and look forward to hearing from you!

She has been awesome - my daughter loves her and the sessions

Lisa is fantastic,
She approaches all of my concerns with appropriate questions and comments, I think her and I connect really well. I was concerned because I am a college girl and sometimes it can be difficult to connect with counselors because many can take things to serious or not remember the day to day struggles but Lisa completely validates my college concerns.
