Hello and welcome to this page! My name is Layla and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania who has been working in this field with children, teens, and families for over 10 years. I am a Nationally Certified TFCBT therapist who works with children ages 3-18 who have been affected by trauma. TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma. TF-CBT can successfully resolve a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences. This type of therapy is effective for diverse, multiple and complex trauma experiences, for youth of different developmental levels, and across different cultures. In addition to TFCBT, I use different modes of therapy as well. My passion is in helping others and I will always provide a safe, calm, space for you or your Child. I feel privileged to be on the listening end of the therapeutic relationship and I love having the opportunity to provide feedback and guidance while supporting those that I work with in the next steps of their journey. I will provide compassion and empathy along the way and cannot wait to share in you or your Childs victories and steps of success towards treatment goal completion. My goal is to build a level of trust with your child so that you feel comfortable in talking to me about what has brought your family to my page. Therapy can be scary because of the unknown but therapy can also be a wonderful experience if you are ready to take that next step. During our time together, we will develop a treatment plan that fits to your needs and desired outcomes and I will provide you with activities and direction that will give you a chance to make change and practice skills between sessions. We will be able to review and discuss how things work for you or your family and can continue on this path until treatment goals are successfully completed and you feel comfortable in the progress your child makes. I look forward to sharing in your families story and hope to be able to walk beside your child on this journey.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Layla Hendricks. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted out of this process. At the time I signed up for therapy, I was desperate for relief from what felt like an avalanche of worries and stressors. Layla methodically helped me unpack and address my stressors and provided me with strategies to process through them. I’m sure she is busy, but I never felt rushed and always felt like she was fully present. As a professional myself, I know how hard that can be. Thank you, Layla!
I love how real and upfront Layla is! She tells it like it is, respectfully, and certainly has the greatest respect and advice a therapist can give. She is so down to earth and always make me feel at my most comfortable feeling to be able to talk to her about anything. I love how involved she is with my feelings and making sure that I am doing okay if she doesn't hear from me in a few days. I hope I can keep her as my therapist for a long time! I would hate to start from the beginning with someone else.
Layla is great at being able to find things to focus on even when I’m not quite sure what I need! She’s so great at listening, validating and even nudging when needed! She’s also super flexible and understanding!
Layla has allowed me to feel comfortable enough to open up and speak freely about things that are going on in my life or just things that have been on my mind. I couldn't be more thankful to have Layla as my therapist and I look forward to speaking to her at every session!
Layla is professional, engaging, she is amazing with keeping in contact and responding to any questions, comments, or concerns. The first therapist my daughter had was an absolute nightmare, I was so glad that we made the choice to change therapists and we’re connected with Layla. I would definitely recommend her to others. My teen daughter instantly felt a connection with her and just knew that she would be heard, and treated with respect, when comparing Layla to her previous therapist. She is good at what she does, and you can tell she honestly cares.
Layla is a kind, insightful and giving therapist. She shares her knowledge and her experiences. I find talking with her very soothing.
Layla is incredible. Worth her weight in gold. Would recommend
Layla is very personable. I feel like I am talking to a close friend. I don't feel like I'm talking to a shrink, I feel like I'm talking to someone who genuinely cares.
Layla was incredibly helpful to me during a difficult time of self doubt. She helped remind me of my potential and to stand up for myself. I greatly appreciate her work and look forward to talking with her again in the future!
Layla is so great. I honestly wouldn't know where I would be with out her
