About Me

Hello-thank you for reading my profile! I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009 and have been passionate about doing counseling/therapy since I was in college. Currently I am licensed in the state of CA and have been working in the field of mental health since graduating from UCLA with my M.S.W. in 2000. I have worked with teenagers at community health centers and also in private practice. My specialty in graduate school focused on mental health with children and adolescents. I truly believe in counseling as a tool to assist people in becoming more fulfilled, happier, less anxious, or whatever your goals may be. I believe counseling should be client-centered, focusing on the client's goals and desires, and I focus on the strengths of the person in order to help realize each peron's full potential. It is the client's strength and self-determination that will guide the process, as I actively listen, ask questions that will help me to understand better, and provide a different perspective that may lead to insight by the client.

She’s fantastic!

She was kind and considerate and a great listener. She was not biased and was also helpful with unraveling what I was feeling.
