About me

Hello! My name is Kimberly Taylor. I am a licensed professional in Michigan. Over the last 10 years I have worked in a variety of settings, including K-12 schools and community mental health. I have counseled teenagers on issues such as: Anxiety; Depression; ADHD; Adjustment Issues; LGBTQ+Issues; Cultural Identity; Foster Care; Trauma; Self-Harm; and Family Separation/Divorce.
While I treasure my role as a counselor, my most important one is that of a parent. As a mother, I bring with me the wisdom of raising a child through issues of: grief and loss, relocation, single-parenting, bicultural identity and busy schedules. Even though the pandemic challenged us in many ways, it also had a silver lining. For me this was a great opportunity to enhance my relationship with my teenage daughter and create a better life balance through switching to Telehealth. I also cultivated a dual perspective as both an online educator and parent of a freshman during the shift virtual schooling. I understand the obstacles of these times and the tremendous potential for growth as a society.
Together, WE WILL ALL GET THROUGH THIS. Allow me to partner with you and your young adult as we navigate through uncharted territories.

Working with Kim has improved my mental health greatly. She is everything you would want in a therapist. Effective in creating plans to reach my goals, personable, possesses cultural awareness, and makes me work through issues I am figuring out. So lucky to have been connected with her.

It’s a rare thing to find someone so supportive yet objective in facilitating personal growth. Even in the short amount of time I’ve been working with her, I have felt that influence and am wildly greatful for it.

Ms Taylor is attentive and listens so well that she is able grasp the things that are not yet said . She continuously follows up with you and asks the type of questions that make you reflect deeply about things you’ve quite possibly mentally buried. I’d highly recommend her to anyone seeking help with their traumas/daily problems/emotional distress. She’s just that awesome! Thanks Ms Taylor!

Kimberly is helping our Daughter through a tough time. Our daughter feels comfortable having her as a person outside of the circle to talk to.

Kimberly also is there for us as parents to help guide us through the situation we are in.

I have struggled with finding the right counsellors and psychologists for years. Kimberly Taylor is such an amazing and supportive counsellor who strives to provide the best therapy. I highly recommend Kimberly to anyone who is dealing with grief and loss, abandonment and anxiety disorders. Get ready to grow and achieve all your therapy goals because even though I haven't fully healed...I definitely have hope.

Kimberly upholds a balance of truth, kindness, compassion and drive. She will comfort you while allowing movement for growth throughout every meditation. Every session she provides a safe environment therefore it was easy to trust Kimberly.

Thankyou Kimberly, it has been a long time since I've found a counsellor like you.

Wonderful therapist, she helped me to find the best ways to go about my anxiety and past trauma and continues to change up our routine if we both agree that there might be a better way. Her schedule fits in great with mine and I always end the session feeling determined and empowered to remain proactive in resolving my issues. Having her support and knowledge by my side has truly been such a weight off my shoulders, I don't feel alone with my problems, she's there to help in every way she can.

I've only had 2 sessions with Kimberly and I'm already feeling a lot more confident this time that therapy is going to help me. She is really great. From the start, Kimberly has been very understanding and open about conversations relating to race, gender and how it applies to careers and mental health these days. I'm grateful to have received some very timely advice.

Kimberly Taylor, understood where I was coming from in her first message to me. I’ve never done therapy before and I’m glad my first time was with miss Taylor. She’s a great listener and has been able to decipher what I was trying to say when I broke down. I was intimidated at first about therapy and talking about my private affairs but she never made me feel uncomfortable, and In the short time I’ve been speaking with miss Kim I think she can help me further in understanding myself and my behavior. I can only say that I’m glad I decided to use teencounseling.com because of my new experience with Miss Kimberly Taylor .

I can’t say enough good things about talking with her and where to start. I never felt understood so fast before. I’ve had therapists in person in the past and felt like after a year of therapy it felt like they really didn’t get to know me very well and I was trying to communicate better to fix that feeling but with Kimberly it was instant with feeling understood and seen on levels I wasn’t used to aside from like a few other people in my life that know me well. So for the advice and knowledge it was extremely relevant and helpful and I was able to take what she told me and put it in my life so much easier just because it truly related. I haven’t had that experience yet with therapy so I was so excited to find her, I’d highly recommend her.

Work with me!
