About Me

Hi, I’m Kenita and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals in areas of case management, psychotherapy, mental health, substance abuse. hospital discharge planning, and supportive care for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I have worked with adults and teens struggling with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, as well as self-esteem and anger management. I also have experience working with grief and loss and relationship/couples’ issues.

My counseling style is inclusive, interactive and supportive. I believe in treating everyone with compassion, and respect. My therapeutic approach utilizes an eclectic, holistic, integrative, approach, such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic. I am client-centered and will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to address and meet your specific needs.
