About me

Hi! My name is Kelsey Haymond and I would love the opportunity to work with you.

Life can be difficult at times and leave you feeling stuck. My hope is that I will be able to help you through times like these. The best way to describe my approach is client centered; meaning, it is important for me to develop a genuine relationship where you feel safe to open up, no judgment, and validated. Our therapeutic journey will involve a safe space to share thoughts and feelings, hope, empowerment, self-exploration, growth promoting experiences, work outside of therapy, and I will try to throw in some fun and laughter along the way. It is also important to me that we work on what you want to work on. Early in the process we will determine goals and most of our work with be centered on those.

I have worked as a therapist for 4 years and love what I do. Most of my experience is in working with children and teenagers with a wide range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, OCD, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I have also done work with the parent-child relationship and parent coaching. Therapeutic theories in which I have had training and experience are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Family Systems Theory. Techniques I use will be based on the individual and their needs.

On a personal note, I love spending time with my new baby girl and husband, biking, yoga, basketball, volleyball, and ATVing.

Kelsey is so warm and welcoming. She pushes you to grow while also helping you along that path with gentleness and care. She is very knowledgeable.

Kelsey’s expertise definitely shows during every session. She won’t stop with only 1 way to handle a situation but will give you a variety of ways and strategies. The simple techniques I learned from her have helped mitigate complex situations. I found the positivity and confidence I lost when I started working with her.

Life changing. She has helped me become the best version of me. I will be forever grateful.

Kelsey is absolutely amazing! She has helped me work through a lot of difficult life events and also as a result has helped me become a better person overall. I can’t thank her enough, she’s been an incredible therapist, sounding board, listener, and I love that she is willing to involve my faith in my therapy! I would recommend her to everyone (although I’m not giving her up any time soon so y’all are going to have to wait in line haha).

Kelsey has been such a great support while I’ve gone through some challenges. Every phone session I’ve had with her has been helpful and insightful. The homework she’s given me has given me opportunities to put into practice new tools each week. I’ve enjoyed my time with Kelsey and I’ve gained clarity, mental strength and confidence working with her. I highly recommend counseling with Kelsey.

Kelsey is absolutely amazing! This has been my first time in therapy but because of my experience, I recommend teen counseling and any therapy to everyone. Everyone is hurt or broken and therapy helps you to put the pieces back together. I can't imagine my life without Kelsey and she has truly helped me out of some dark places and shown me how to love myself.
