Hi, my name is Kellie Harrison and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing and licensed in the state of Georgia. I have 10+ years of experience working with children in the psychiatric hospital setting, foster homes, individually, in groups, in family sessions, and in their own homes/schools. I have worked with children and teens to help them sort through their issues such as strained relationships with family members, peers, and teachers/parents/authority, bullying issues, suicidal thoughts, past trauma or abuse, lack of concentration/attention, depression, anxiety, feelings of anger, aggression, self-confidence and self-esteem issues, and substance abuse.
Being a teenager can be a tough and confusing time- they do not really identify as a young child, but also not an adult yet. I have been told by many parents that I have a way of getting their teens to open up about thoughts and feelings that they did not even know existed within themselves. Teenagers are very capable of learning coping skills to utilize in the time of need and they do very well with texting or using technology to express themselves.

Kellie is so awesome. I feel heard and she has really good points and advice. She is always all ears and she’s got a knack for helping people and I can’t even fathom a way to explain it better but she truly has opened my eyes to recovery.
My counselor Kelly has the innate ability to listen and feel my concern. She has been a comfort and a great support to myself, and I would absolutely refer teen counseling To my friends and family. :)

We’ve only officially met once but she’ll check on me throughout the week and has been very understanding about work and me having to reschedule because of it.

Kellie has been very responsive and kind. She does a great job.
Kellie is awesome. She is patient and kind. She has really helped me out a lot and my life is on a much better trajectory now having worked with her.
Kellie is very easy to talk to and she doesn't talk too much. She knows when to allow some silence for deep thought and when to ask thought-provoking questions. She also knows when to just give some advice. She checks on me during the week with messages and I really appreciate it. She is a great listener and she really makes sure to get a grasp on your situation before commenting too much on it. Overall my experience so far has been fantastic and very enlightening.
Kellie is amazing! I actually went through a couple of different counselors who were not very responsive before I found Kellie. She is understanding, supportive, and encouraging. I could not ask for a better counselor. teen counseling is very lucky to have Kellie as a part of their team.
