About Me

I am a Board-Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor Candidate, and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of South Carolina and have been practicing in the mental health field since 2011. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. In addition to providing therapy services with various platforms and my own private practice, Synergy eTherapy, I am the Clinical Director for a local non-profit agency that provides treatment and support to adults with severe mental illness.

My style tends to be person-centered and solution-focused as I believe in focusing more heavily on the problems you’re experiencing right now and working together to develop effective strategies for improving overall life satisfaction. I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at times to help identify problematic thinking and retrain your brain to be more positive! Some other modalities that I believe in are Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I have significant expertise in dealing with people who are experiencing the following: various mental illnesses (including but not limited to Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, other Psychotic Disorders, Depression, Anxiety); difficulty adapting to life situations; relationship issues; stress caused by pressure at work or home; grief and loss; self-esteem issues; other difficulties maintaining life balance. I also have experience with addictions issues and am able to help in those areas. I am skilled in aiding others in developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, stress management, personal empowerment and advocacy, healthy leisure habits, and other important life skills.

It is important to understand that therapy is about you and what you need, so the process is really driven by the client!

She makes me feel like a human being...perfectly imperfect but not a horrible person that a think I am. I appreciate that she’s down 2 earth & is understanding.

Kayce is very kind and thoughtful. She checks on me often to give me an outlet to the way I’m feeling and I appreciate that. She lets me know when she’s out of the office so I can plan around her personal time which I appreciate. She takes time to work with me and this is very important in times like this. She gets an A+ rating from me.

Written by J.U. on Jun 27, 2020 after counseling with Kayce for 5 months on issues concerning relationship issues

Kayce reaches out to me a few times to check on me and I neglected to respond, but not on purpose. After about the third time that she reached out to me I thought... wow somebody really wants to listen.

Kayce has been so ENCOURAGING, thorough, helpful, kind, thoughtful, and understanding. She has come alongside me to give me tools to do inner work that is necessary to start living deeper into the woman I want to be...empowered, graceful, calm, respectful, aware, conscientious, and self-differentiated. She is helping learn how to honor my feelings personally, to accept my feelings and yet have the tools I need to not be controlled by my feelings. She takes my concerns seriously and I believe she really has the gift of empathy to connect and relate while opening doors to new perspectives, new ways to think and grow.

Kayce Bragg’s counseling service has been very beneficial for me. I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression and needed someone to start talking to right away. She is a very good listener and always responds in a timely manner. Her counseling helped give me the confidence I needed to proceed with the best possible treatment/therapy for my condition. I think her live session counseling was really helpful for me.

I gave teen counseling a chance before and was matched up with a counselor that I ended up being pretty disappointed with I just felt like we never got on the same page. I'm really happy that I decided to take another chance on this app because being matched up with Kayce has been really great she's been incredibly helpful and puts things in perspective in such a simple way that you almost think you should have thought of it yourself but she really listens and prioritizes and gives you the tools that you need to get better.

For the past week I've been doing this on smartphone
Adult art coloring by numbers and glitter coloring by numbers and all the pictures I've done so far turned out pretty. I like doing things like that. My worker took me too

Written by J.A. on Apr 17, 2019 after counseling with Kayce for 1 month on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, self esteem, and coping with life changes

Kaycee Bragg has been a great resource to have. She really helps you tackle the issues you're dealing with. In the past, I've seen counselors and they only want to focus on childhood issues or war, and she's not like that. She understands those things have shaped you but may not be what you need to talk about to help you get through whatever is going on. She has taught me valuable lessons in gratitude and daily reflection, that have dramatically improved my life in just a few short weeks.

Written by E.L. on Apr 08, 2019 after counseling with Kayce for 7 months on issues concerning depression, sleeping disorders, and self esteem

Written by M.A. on Jan 19, 2019 after counseling with Kayce for 5 months on issues concerning depression, relationship issues, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, and anger management

Kayce helped me learn to love and appreciate myself and my life in a time where I didn't feel like I could. Her vibrant positivity was infectious, but she balanced it very effectively with a strong ability to listen and take my issues seriously, while providing very helpful solutions and methods to try. She helped me learn how to change my life in ways that I knew would be good for me but was hesitant to try, and to do so in such a way where I could feel like myself and proud of what I was doing and how far I'd come the whole time. Kayce is incredibly caring and very knowledgeable of her craft, and I'm very lucky to be paired with her.

Even when I was quite skeptical about teen counseling, having worked face-to-face with a counselor in the past, and I felt really down, Kayce said some very simple yet true things, exactly what I needed to hear. Simply how to rethink my life and take steps to get better.

Written by D.A. on May 16, 2018 after counseling with Kayce for 2 weeks on issues concerning relationship, and family

Kate helped me to understand my own dysfunctional communication patterns and how to improve them. She understands and helped me through a tough time understanding how my past history is impacting my present, and how to cope with it. I'm so glad I found teen counseling, being able to work with my counselor when it was convenient also meant my daily work and home routine wasn't disrupted to sit in an office, it was convenient to be able to work on things from the comfort of home...

She was patient with me, made me think outside the box, pushed me to search myself and to look beyond myself to find answers. She helped me realize that I needed some aspects of my life to change in order to let the blessings in. Kayce was very open minded, she let me explain sensitive issues in detail without judging, this made it easier to go deeper and reveal more, which again made me feel I had made some headway . She let me chose the order I was comfortable with in giving information in order to lead up to the main issue. From her actions, I can only conclude she is a caring, good person in which the world needs more of.
