About Me

I became a therapist 7 years ago with the passion and drive to connect with people and work side by side creating motivation for positive change in their lives. I have worked with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, various economic and vocational issues, communication problems, LGBT-Q topics, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive; I also like to throw some humor in there! I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I value collaborating with an individual as they are the experts on their lives. I seek to build trust as I am open to all experiences one chooses to share. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, didactic behavioral therapy, strengths based, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Creating healthy thought patterns, behaviors, and relationships is key to building a strong sense of self and progressing towards a successful and happy life.

Katie has truly helped me understand what needs I have and why they matter. I don't think I would have bothered trying to understand my needs if it weren't for her and I will always be grateful for that lesson. Along with so many others. When possible I will be signing back up and requesting her again 100%

Katie is a kind, funny, and super down to earth person. She’s a great therapist because she's super empathic and has a good deal of life perspective as a wife, woman, and minority.

Katie is great and very methodical in her responses to the things I tell her. She has my best interest in mind and has an understanding of what I am going through. I appreciate her being attentive and responsive through this process.
