About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years working as a school social worker. I have supported individuals and groups on a variety of issues including dealing with traumatic life events, managing depression and anxiety, building self-esteem, identity issues, and social anxiety. I have also helped teens with strategies to deal with ADHD, family conflicts, and relationship issues.
My counseling style is compassionate, non- judgmental and nurturing. I will vary my approach to meet your individual needs and preferences. I will work with you to develop clear goals for our counseling sessions and I will utilize behavioral principals, mindfulness strategies and stress management techniques to address your concerns.
Being a teenager during these challenging times is very stressful and can feel overwhelming and lonely at times. It takes great courage to ask for help and to allow yourself to trust another person with your feelings and concerns. I can promise you that I will do my best to support you with an open mind, confidentiality, and the utmost kindness and respect!
I look forward to getting to know you!

Excellent
Kathy has been a tremendous help guiding me through family issues and depression. She knows when to offer advice and when I just need an ear to listen. She checks in with me during the week and it has been wonderful to have someone to confide in who has professional expertise and life experience. She offers all of this with kindness and compassion. I am very grateful to her.
Kathy is very kind, understanding, and insightful. She has been able work with me through my problems from a variety of and and strategies, working to find whatever method I respond best with.
Kathy is amazing! In the past year, she has helped me immensely. From assisting in the healing of traumas and always being supportive, I couldn't have asked for a better therapist. She is always a great listener and is very helpful. She offers various forms of coping mechanisms and is always adaptable to feedback. I was so lucky to have matched with her and owe so much of my growth and progress to her.
Kathy has been an amazing resource for my daughter. She is always there to provide kind, thoughtful, insightful guidance or just simply be an open ear to listen. She really helped her through the darkest days. I am very grateful and would highly recommend her.
Love Kathy. She is very involved and interested in myself and life. She is responsive , caring and understanding
Kathy has taught me many helpful ways to counteract my anxiety. She's caring, informative, and also generous with her time. It is so nice to have thoughtful messages waiting for me over the weekend or when we don't have time scheduled. I always look forward to our time together because she is very easy to confide in and offers the support I need.
I love Kathy. Therapy has changed my life.
Kathy is the BEST counselor I have EVER had. Everytime I spoke to her, I was able to find peace and be productive for the rest of my day. She is so kind and understanding. She is non-judgemental. She can relate to my situations and my feelings very quickly and very well and provide the right support to foster my growth.
Kathy is great! She really took the time to get to know me and was a constant source of support during a difficult time. Kathy is very thoughtful and would check in during the week with helpful articles or inspirational quotes, even when we don’t have time scheduled. I would recommend her to anyone that is interested in seeing a counselor.
Very nice people. Totally recommend
I’m the short time I have been meeting with Kathy she has been very empathetic and extremely helpful.
After switching from one therapist to another, Kathy was a breath of fresh air. She always makes herself available to chat or video call. She prioritizes her patients and makes you feel heard. She is a fantastic listener and makes it easy to confide in her. She is one of those people who make you feel very comfortable and at ease the moment you meet, like an old friend. Teletherapy can be weird but Kathy was incredibly warm right from the beginning. *Trigger warning* I joined teencounseling.com following my best friend's suicide and Kathy played a vital role in getting me through the toughest stages of my grieving process. She helped me learn how to sit in my feelings and use my energy to honor my friend's life. I truly couldn't recommend her any more.
Kathy is so warm and attentive and I cannot sing her praises enough! She is a great listener while actively directing the conversation and counceling in a healthy and helpful ways.
