About Me

Hello! I'm Dr. Katherine Sherman and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Florida. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2010.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and college-aged adults to assist them in stress management, coping with life changes and family issues, and reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and related impairments. I also treat more targeted concerns such as OCD, ADHD, specific phobias, and trichotillomania. I specialize in collaborating individually with parents to teach them effective evidence-based parenting strategies for disruptive behavior disorders and other concerns. I also work with individuals and their families who are coping with chronic illnesses and medical conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain and fatigue, transplants, and cancer.

I have a warm, caring, and open-minded treatment approach. I integrate techniques from evidence-based treatments and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques. I would love to meet with you and your teen and see if we are a good fit!

Dr. Sherman is wonderful. She makes sure she fits live sessions into my schedule and makes sure any “homework” benefits me and works for me and my life. She makes me feel validated in my feelings and helps me to accept all the feelings I have and how to move forward.
