About me

Hello and Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I started my work as a therapist in New York after obtaining my Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University. I have been working as a therapist in California for the last five years. Throughout my career, I have worked with teens and their parents in their home, in school, and in mental health clinics. I have experience providing direct individual therapy for teens who exhibit anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, familial conflict, and peer/social problems. I have run groups for teens in both high school and middle school to provide support and psychoeducation about ways to navigate social/peer situations and the challenges that arise during adolescence. I am hopeful that my experiences and knowledge will be able to help you in your specific situation.

Over my career I have dedicated myself to ongoing study and have obtained training and certifications in several evidenced based treatment interventions. Some of these include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety for adolescents. I continue to attend trainings so that I may be able to provide the best treatment for my clients.

My approach to therapy is to create a partnership with my clients to work towards an agreed upon goal. I believe in tailoring each conversation and interaction to meet the client where they are at. I hope to be able to create a situation together where you will feel comfortable and confident to meet your goals.

Kaitlyn does a very good job of helping to navigate through my obstacles, listens very well and helps guide me to incredibly useful and satisfying plans of action. I started seeing results very quickly and I would recommend Kaitlyn to anyone who is working on the stresses in their life. Also, having the flexibility and options for my sessions (video, phone, messaging) takes the pressure off and lets me see our session in the calendar as a highlight instead of a chore.

Kaitlyn has been nothing but amazing and patient with me. She continues to help me in every single possible way she can. I always look forward to our talks because she gets me through all that I believe I couldn’t. Without her I wouldn’t be doing better for myself today. She blessed me.

Kaitlyn is the best counselor I’ve had. She is understanding, trusting, experienced, open, and flexible. It’s so nice to be able to talk to someone that is willing to listen and not brush everything off.
