Joseph Rowe

About Me

I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in Indiana with over 10 years of experience working as a psychocounselor and life coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm, directive, and collaborative. I have over four years of experience working with individuals and leading groups on topics such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other emotional issues. I have experience working with teenagers in a juvenile residential setting, doing both individual and group sessions on the struggles that teenagers face. I believe in treating you with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, regardless of what you are seeking counseling for. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, interpersonal processing, and emotional-focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Your feedback during the therapeutic process is welcomed and encouraged and helps me to meet your needs as best as possible.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to help you make steps towards the change you want in your life and to support you in those decisions. Our sessions will be confidential and I take pride in creating a safe and supportive environment for you to grow in.

I look forward to working with you!

It really helps to have someone talk to me like I would talk to me. I feel respected like my point of view matters. I’ve been in a crazy relationship where I got no respect and was blamed for a lot of things. I started feeling like I was crazy even though I knew I was doing what was for the best. I’ve been called toxic and delusional. I’m glad I got a chance to talk to someone about how I’m feeling. Someone actually asked me about my side and didn’t make me feel crazy. At the end of the day, instead of me chasing after this person and showing them my worth, I’m taking charge of the direction I’m going and they’re chasing me. Now I have a choice, I can choose how I want things to go instead of being forced to accept bad things like it’s normal. Really unraveled a lot of stress I’m thankful.

Mr Rowe in this short time has been great to my son. This was worth to do and it still is. I do recommend anyone with a teen needing counseling to try Teencounseling.
