About me

Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a licensed profession counselor in the state of Michigan. I have over 7 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, women’s shelters, support groups, intensive day treatment, and outpatient care. The bulk of my experience has been working with adolescents through residential and day treatment programs. I am familiar with the challenges that are facing today's youth and am equipped to provide understanding and balanced perspective on issues related to identify, personal development, and relational conflict.

I am passionate about mental health due to the importance of having someone in our corner that is completely for us and non-judgmental as a small piece of calm in an ever evolving and uncertain world. I have found the more we can understand ourselves and the circumstances we live in, the more we can find solid ground to stand on and find the person we would like to be. It is my aim and my honor to attempt to provide a space where you can be your most authentic self - and feel safe doing so.

I take an eclectic approach to counseling as I believe relationship is our greatest tool. My approach encompasses using person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and integrative methods to treatment. This basically means, I meet you where you are at and am understanding of the various complexities that make you, you. I want us to build a safe, trusting relationship that can help foster growth and development.

I am warm, supportive, and compassionate. I believe in honesty and creating a foundation of truth to move forward into helping you become the best version of yourself. I believe in trying to understand the root issue to help with lasting healing. I look forward to partnering with you for your better wellness.

Jessica has truly found her calling as a counselor. She is warm, nurturing, incredibly empathetic, and intuitive, as she’s helped me get to the bottom of what is upsetting me COUNTLESS times! She makes you feel safe even as you’re opening up and diving into your most traumatic experiences together. Jessica has taught me how to be kind and patient with myself, which is truly a gift I hope to carry with me for the rest of my life.

Man where do I actually start lol. I was nervous at first to do my actual video session because I was an emotional wreck but now! Honey! I’ve worked through some tough stuff even though new things do come up and occur Jessica has been an amazing help to my life and I’ll be forever grateful for what she’s done for me!

I was very pleased with my sessions with Jessica. Initially we sought her help for our daughter but then our daughter moved to a different counsellor. I then personally continued with Jessica. Her answers were always timely and well-thought out. She gave me different approaches to try and change my mindset. I found her to be kind and nonjudgmental. I had a excellent experience with Jessica.

I was skeptical about using an online platform for counseling, but I'm glad I took this step. Having Jessica as a counselor has served me well and I feel comfortable; for the first time, I look forward to these sort of sessions.

I was unsure of counseling to begin with, and the idea of being pared with a complete stranger over the internet was a bit unnerving. I was so so wrong.
Counseling with Jessica has been a life changing decision. She is honest and genuine, respectful and kind. I don't feel like I'm talking to a therapist, I feel like I'm talking to a supportive friend. Jessica knows just what to say and how to encourage. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing hope, encouragement, and help understanding themselves.

Whenever I talk to Jessica I feel like I can open myself completely and a sense of safety to be able to do so. She listens always, never judges, and explains everything in a manner that I am able to work on things even when she isn't around. She is extremely supportive, super kind and funny, and I truly feel relief and confidence every time I talk to her. She is an amazing person and would definitely recommend her to those who might need it.
