About me
Hello, my name is Jessica Ortiz. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist with over 16 years of experience. I am licensed in California and Texas. I received my Masters in Psychology from Antioch University in 2008. I have experience working with a diverse population of clients with a wide range of clinical problems including: depression, anxiety, individual psychological problems, and child-parent problems. I work with adults, couples, adolescents, children and families.
I have worked with many adolescents helping them resolve many of the issues they face today such as stress, anxiety, depression, school issues, parental problems, bullying, life-changes, and more. I am trained and certified in evidenced-based practices (MAP and DTQI) that are geared towards adolescents and have shown to be extremely effective in treatment of various problems. I believe it's best practice to work closely with the client, parent, and family members while also respecting the privacy of all parties involved, especially the young client.

Jessica has been a great help to my mental wellbeing. She is supportive and listens to my thoughts/concerns. I’ve also learned a great deal of CBT from her which has helped me improve my stress levels and way of thinking. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone one seeking a therapist.

Shes wonderful and helpful. Very excited to continue my work with her.
Jessica Ortiz is someone you can open up to without feeling judge. Of course this is my first time I confided in someone and I was very nervous but not even once I felt judge. She had made me more aware of information that I didn't know and has help in all sorts of ways to cope and different ways that can help me. I can't stress enough how safe it feels to let all your thoughts out and get the guidances. She's a wonderful person I would recommend her to anyone who I know is struggling.
Jessica is super attentive to my time and my needs. I’m really enjoying the overall experience with my weekly interactions with her.
She’s wonderful. So kind and patient. I am very lucky.
Jessica always listens to me and rephrases what I say, making it obvious that she really pays attention to my concerns. I like it when she asks me questions that make me reflect upon my issues, when she gives me suggestions, and I love that she says with all the letters whether she thinks my thoughts are valid or if she believes that I'm not seeing things clearly. I have had many therapists in my life and I always preferred those who give me their input. I definitely think Jessica has been very helpful in my path.
Jessica is so welcoming and always knows what to tell me. I like how she splits up what’s going on with me and focuses on what’s the bigger problem. She checks up on me frequently and sets time for me during the week for our sessions. I enjoy opening up to her.
Jessica is very patient with me and I can tell that she really listens to what I'm trying to say to help me find what's really bothering me, and she provides many forms of tools to help me work through things.
