About Me

Hi, I am Jessica. I have been a therapist for 19 years. My degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. Having a variety of training and professional exposure helps me to see individuals in their entirety; as an individual while also seeing how the system they are in impacts them. All of my 18 years of practice has focused on working with adolescents. I have worked with teens struggling with a variety of issues from running away, depression, sexual identity, anxiety, school struggles, self-harm, to sexual and physical trauma.

Creating a safe space of warmth and acceptance without judgment is the first goal of therapy. Our teen years are a huge part of our individual development and can be very overwhelming. It is also a challenging time for parents and caregivers. Our teens are growing up in a world that is constantly changing while they are going through rapid change and growth themselves. I really enjoy helping a teen figure things out and help them figure out how to function effectively within their world. I provide you with the opportunity to discover your inner strengths and rid your mind of unhelpful thoughts. The focus of counseling will be what is most important to you. This could be abuse, anxiety, depression or self-esteem. I consider it a privilege to come along beside you on your journey of personal growth. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life-thriving!

Jessica is kind, funny, and caring. I was so lucky to be paired with her and enjoyed the time I spent with her on my journey of bettering my mental health and establishing relationships and boundaries. I couldn’t have asked for a better first therapist.

Jessica is empathetic, caring, and knows what she is doing. She creates a safe space for all, but especially for people with past traumas. I have only been seeing her for a few months, and the improvements are great. I'm not "fixed" but I am on the path to being myself and being better than I have been in a long time.

Jessica has been extremely comfortable to work with. Well I am a new client, I am completely at ease with her and can tell that we will make good progress together. I already have full trust in her expert opinion.

She is so insightful and such a good listener. She explains so clearly what her method/way of working is and what to expect. She reassures me but is honest in saying “this will take time but we will work hard” which I really like.
