About me

Welcome! My name is Jessica David. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. I am so happy to hear that you are taking the time to seek out support for something that your child/adolescent is struggling with. I would love to work with them and help them overcome the challenges they are facing. I have been working as a professional counselor for the past 14 years. I have worked in both a residential setting helping individuals with trauma and abuse as well as the school setting. At Shiloh Christian Children's home, I have provided individual counseling for children ages 6-17 years old for physical, sexual and emotional abuse, loss/grief, mood disorders, behavioral problems, anger and other mental health issues. I also work closely with the house parents and provide them with direction in regards to developing goals for each child that is placed in their home.

As a therapist, I respectfully support clients in identifying and reaching goals. My goal is to act as a guide and support as clients become empowered through the therapeutic journey. I have the most experience in working with those struggling from depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem and confidence. I enjoy working with clients using many different therapeutic modalities; client-centered, solution focused, cognitive behavior therapy, strength based and mindfulness therapy. I really look forward to working with your child and helping them become the best version of themselves!

Jessica has been so helpful, especially when dealing with subtle symptoms of anxiety. Jessica has been an incredible help in guiding me to the solutions I needed for balance in my life, both at home and professionally. She has also been a wonderful resource as I navigate being a parent and all the doubts and anxiety that come with that.

Jessica is so personable and warm and welcoming, you will almost feel like you’re talking to a good friend - but one that’s going to hold you accountable as well.

This is my first experience with therapy and it has been nothing short of awesome. She is someone who is easy to open up to. Jessica has been extremely helpful with my relationship and has guided me through my thoughts and feelings. She truly cares about her clients and remembers the small things! I would definitely recommend Jessica to anyone and everyone who may be seeking relationship therapy!

Jessica is a very understanding and kind woman. She has a sense of humor and is easy to talk to. I was iffy about Therapy, but I quickly grew comfortable. I felt heard. Thank you, Jessica. You’ve been a great help! And maybe she can help you too.

Jessica has been an absolute pleasure to talk to during my times of need. I can be very energetic some days and down in the dumps for others, but Jessica knows how to respond to whatever mood I am in. She always listens without judgement and makes my feelings valid and heard. She'll encourage me when I need it, but ultimately, knows that it's my choice and is understanding when I don't always follow through. We're working on that though!
Jessica is always positive and happy on our sessions. I know that her clients, including me, are very lucky to have her. She's also very flexible with scheduling video calls and responsive to messages sent through the teencounseling.com portal. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to get a weight off their chest and just needs someone to talk to. Jessica does a phenomenal job each session!

Therapy with Jessica has made such an impact in my life. She encourages me to set personal goals (and meet them!), listens intently without judgement, educates me on different forms of therapy that may help me to grow and is extremely flexible to work with. Since we began our sessions, I had a monumental breakthrough and I couldn't have done it without her connecting very important dots. Anyone who works with Jessica is extremely lucky. I highly recommend her to those who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.
