About Me
I am a change maker who is interested in helping to develop and improve transitional support for adolescents. I believe that such work will improve the lives of adolescents and reduce recidivism in our communities. My clinical specialties are relationships, adolescents and co-occurring disorders using an existential, eclectic and holistic approach. I am a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Certified Anger Management Facilitator, Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and Certified Effective Black Parenting Facilitator. From 2007 to 2017, at the Cheltenham Youth Facility in Cheltenham, Maryland. I worked with adolescent males who struggled with mental health, behavioral and substance abuse issues. I coordinated with a team of clinicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to deliver mental health interventions and treatment. Today I continue to work with adolescent males, listening, hearing what they have to say, encouraging, motivating, helping them to navigate their way among peers and peer pressures. Together we develop the appropriate steps needed to complete the journey transitioning from boyhood to manhood. The understanding is made clear that respect for self and for others especially parents and those assigned to teach us how to learn how to learn is critical and a key to success. I am available to work with you whenever you are. Let's get started today!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Jesse Griffin. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
Professional and knowledgeable!
Dr. Griffin is an amazing listener and is a very positive influence. He manages to keep the spirits light and is very objective when needed to be. Very compassionate and thoughtful, and shows an obvious care to his patients.
Great help!
Dr. Griffin was extremely helpful and supportive.
Very helpful
I was skeptical about this service, and honestly now I can say this is some of the best therapy I’ve had. Dr. Griffin is real and to the point. In a very respect mannered way. I feel comfortable talking on a level like he’s the big brother, yet boundaries are still respected. I get the impression that being a therapist and actively listening and actually giving worthwhile advice is who Dr. Griffin is. Top notch!! I will continue with this form of therapy for the foreseeable future. Just because it’s thru an app or online doesn’t mean therapy is lesser. In fact, I feel the convenience, personalization, and consistency is worth so much more than the cost.
He's great, and was especially helpful with a Christian perspective on relationships for me!
