Working with Dr Carter in the latter half of 2021 was a revelation. Dr Carter was a supportive and informed ear to listen and prompted my own self discovery. I would recommend working with her for anyone who identifies as LGBT and especially as POC. Her insights were invaluable and helped me to overcome a very difficult period. Thank you Dr Carter for your support.

If you are looking for someone who will listen to you, help you see your problems as they are and give you concrete, realistic ways to work through them, Dr. Carter is that person. When I discovered teencounseling.com, I needed help to break out of a pattern of negative self-talk and avoidance of my problems. I didn't need positive affirmations or a cheerleader, which was what I had gotten with other therapists before. I was at a low point and Dr. Carter was able to help me through it so that I could function and see that it was not a lost cause. She understood my problems and what I wanted to accomplish through therapy. She helped me see where my patterns began and how I keep falling back into them. She continues to help me reframe and re-condition my thinking to break out of my negative patterns and I'm so grateful for her. I highly recommend Dr. Carter for her professionalism, empathy and expertise.

Dr Carter is so amazing.
