Working with Dr Carter in the latter half of 2021 was a revelation. Dr Carter was a supportive and informed ear to listen and prompted my own self discovery. I would recommend working with her for anyone who identifies as LGBT and especially as POC. Her insights were invaluable and helped me to overcome a very difficult period. Thank you Dr Carter for your support.

She’s honestly the best. Really professional.
If you are looking for someone who will listen to you, help you see your problems as they are and give you concrete, realistic ways to work through them, Dr. Carter is that person. When I discovered teencounseling.com, I needed help to break out of a pattern of negative self-talk and avoidance of my problems. I didn't need positive affirmations or a cheerleader, which was what I had gotten with other therapists before. I was at a low point and Dr. Carter was able to help me through it so that I could function and see that it was not a lost cause. She understood my problems and what I wanted to accomplish through therapy. She helped me see where my patterns began and how I keep falling back into them. She continues to help me reframe and re-condition my thinking to break out of my negative patterns and I'm so grateful for her. I highly recommend Dr. Carter for her professionalism, empathy and expertise.

Dr carter is great. She is thoughtful and a great listener. I don’t feel like she is judge mental but listens and holds me accountable. She listens with full attention and takes good notes that she later will revisit with me. She is quick to respond and very kind. Highly recommend her :)
Dr Carter is so amazing. I’ve had anxiety for years and years and with just a few sessions I was learning things about myself and how to change my thinking and behaviors that better suited me so I can live without anxious worries. Dr Carter is very welcoming, non-judgemental and truly cares about you as a person and your therapist. She’s seen me cry and just let the tears flow while I got some things off my chest and not once did I feel shame or embarrassment, I know she has my back!
Dr. Carter is such a genuine and lovely person. She'll tell it like it is while still being kind and she helped me make real life changes that directly improved my environment and quality of life. I highly recommend Jeralyn, she is a wonderful therapist and more importantly a wonderful person :)
