About Me

Hi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and Texas (which can be verified using the Missouri and Texas state licensing board websites) and have been helping people of all ages and different backgrounds for many years. I received my masters in social work at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the top schools of social work in the country. I am dedicated to using these top skills I have learned to help clients find their way and learn their own skills to handle the problems life throws at them and be able to find a sense of peace, belonging, and power over their destiny. I have worked with clients with a variety of challenges and concerns, ranging from stress and anxiety to depression, grief, and anger. I have worked with kids in school along with parents and grandparents facing the stress of parenting kids with additional challenges and needs. I am certified as a registered play therapist and have used this in an office with young children, teens, and even adults to help them each communicate in different ways that are most effective for them. I have worked with those who have experienced emotional trauma, abuse, loss, pain, and major life changes. I have helped people to talk through everyday difficulties, problem solve, improve communication and friendships, explore their identities, feel more confident, manage stress, and find ways to have fun and be happy. I often use a client centered, humanistic approach with aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and creativity that is individualized to help clients deal with unique issues and use what works best for each person.
I know it can be difficult to reach out for support, especially when things are not going your way, it feels like no one understands, and you are not sure where to turn. I am here to provide empathy, listen, and encourage. I look forward to talking with you!

My daughter has seen a few therapists over the years but I have seen the most positive change in her after deciding to go with online and being paired with Jenna. This was such a positive experience for us. Dont hesitate to make this important step for your teen. Five stars to Jenna and her work with teens!

I feel that Jenna really cares about my well-being. She is always there checking in on me if I haven't messaged her for a couple days and always responds with very helpful and caring messages to help guide me on my self-discovery.

One thing I appreciate about Jenna is that she is very flexible in terms of therapy styles and exercises.

Was unsure about therapy beforehand. But talking with Jenna has made me rethink the whole thing. She has made me feel completely comfortable and willing to go forward with the process.

Jenna is awesome and she really cares about my problems. It almost seems like she cares more than I do! I don't think I've ever had a counselor who has an attitude like that and it's heartwarming. She offers outside opportunities and resources. But I think most importantly is that she listens more than she talks. I've been able to share things with Jenna, things that naturally came out after rambling, that I haven't ever shared with anyone else.

I wasn't sure about online counseling, at first, but then Jenna and I started talking via email. I felt she listened to the various things I had to say and responded to me in a timely manner. I felt supported and comfortable opening up to her. She cared about me and kept in contact with me if I became too busy to get back to her within a couple of days. I appreciated her non-judgmental and objective perspective. Her guidance led me in the direction I needed to go next, and so I did. Confidently. Thanks for listening, Jenna, and for helping me find a way.
