About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, & parenting issues.

During school I enjoyed working and volunteering with at risk communities in the Waco and Dallas area, such as the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center in Richardson. As a counselor I have worked with children, teens, young adults and women dealing with eating disorders, abuse recovery, school related issues and relationship issues.

Following my time as a stay-at-home-mom, I worked as a children's minister, a preschool teacher, an administrative assistant at a middle school and opened my own bakery. I also have done some volunteer work with a counseling group offering large and small group weekend intensive counseling experiences. My kids and I stay busy with their activities, and volunteering at their schools and with our church.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Jamie has understood my problems with addiction and she offers different ideas and scenarios on winning the battle with addiction and the struggles that come with ADHD. She has told me about different strategies on how to remain calm and composed despite feeling overwhelmed. Plus she is a joy to talk to, and I always feel happy when I'm talking with her and after I've talked with her.

Jamie takes the time to listen attentively and really digs into my concerns, even if not fully articulated. She gives me insight and guides me through situations, helping me understand my behaviors and others'. I enjoy chatting with her and feel comfortable being open with her.

Great listener

Wonderful person to talk to. I have confidence in her expertise and feel safe talking with her. I have not felt judged or felt like I had to filter myself in any way. None of my thoughts or issues have ever been invalidated, and they are an attentive listener. She gives worksheets and suggests exercises to supplement the sessions, which help with self discovery and reflection. She is really good at asking the right questions that get you to think about yourself and your past, and also is in general a very validating and intelligent person.

It was great I felt really comfortable and open to talking about everything and discussing everything. She's really sweet and comforting.

Jamie had been great to work with. She really has aided my husband and I in rebuilding our relationship, and making sure that we work on areas that can allow us to grow and remain strong, together. It’s really nice to be able to speak to someone who genuinely cares, listens, and offers the best advice possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better mentor.

She hears me and doesn't act like my issues are mundane or silly. She validates my thoughts and that feels good!

All 3 of us connected so easily, and looks like we knew Jamie before. I was safe to open, trusted in her 100%, for me that is unusual to open for random people. Look forward to continue working together!

She is amazing. She takes time to truly listen, figures out the real problems in the mists of my rambling. She encourages me, she gives me advice, exercise's, homework, and I enjoy all of them, it helps more than I even know at the time. I highly recommend Jamie, her experience and knowledge is shown in how she conducts video sessions and messaging. She’s helped me, and though I have a long way to go, I don’t doubt that she will help me figure things out and encourage me till I overcome them. I’m Thankful for Jamie!

Work with me!
